Beechworth Short Walking Holiday Information

By | Short Hoildays

To all Members,
I am happy to organise a 5 day/4 night trip to Beechworth – country Victoria during April, 2018. The dates I am suggesting are from Wednesday, 18th April to Sunday, 22nd April.

Please read the attached notice for information on the proposed trip.

If you are interested in taking part could you please let me know by email wilmawaters@bigpond.com by Friday, 6th October. This would enable me to reserve suitable accommodation as Autumn is quite a busy time in the area. This is an “expression of interest” only at this time and confirmation would be by actually booking your accommodation.

There are some Members who had already informed me of their interest. I will communicate with you individually.

Thanks

Wilma Waters

Exploratory Walk Wednesday  September 13th. A stroll around Whittlesea.

Car pooling from Diamond Valley Sports Complex car park at 9.00am for a 30 minute drive along Yan Yean and Plenty Roads to Whittlesea. The walk commences from the car park outside the Whittlesea Tennis Courts in Laurel Street, just across the road from Whittlesea Secondary College.(Melway: 246 H9). The walk caters for both easy and moderate participants, so please come along.

The walk takes in older Whittlesea, with sweeping views across the town and beyond (Not the easy people). Then onto the newer parts, strolling along Bruces Creek and hopefully a few water birds. We then make our way to the town centre for coffee and refreshment. From the shops it’s a short stint back to the cars.

Aprox. 7.5 kms / 2 hrs. See you then.

Cheers
