Exploratory Walk Monday 12th February. A stroll around Whittlesea.
Car pooling from Diamond Valley Sports Complex car park at 8.30am for a 30 minute drive along Yan Yean and Plenty Roads to Whittlesea. The walk commences from the car park outside the Whittlesea Tennis Courts in Laurel Street, just across the road from Whittlesea Secondary College.(Melway: 246 H9). The walk caters for both easy and moderate participants, so please come along.
The walk takes in older Whittlesea, with sweeping views across the town and beyond (Not the easy people). Then onto the newer parts, strolling along Bruces Creek and hopefully a few water birds. We then make our way to the town centre for coffee and refreshment. From the shops it’s a short stint back to the cars. Most of the walk is in the open. An umbrella might be appropriate if it is warm.
