Next Saturday Walk, Tanglefoot Track Toolangi

By | Explore Walk, Weekend Walk

To all Members,

Attached is a note from Roger and detailed walking notes about the upcoming Saturday walk.

The walk for Saturday, April 14 will be the Tanglefoot Track at Toolangi. This walk is adjacent to the Myrtle Gully walk (done as an extended walk about 2 weeks ago). It is about 10.5km in length, and has a long gentle uphill section, not dis-similar to, but a little shorter than, the Old Kinglake Road. The surface is generally good, but with a lot of debris (ie bark strips, small branches) underfoot – hence the name of the track.

The track is well sheltered with lots of tree ferns.

Please let Roger know, by Wednesday, April 11 if you plan to attend (rogerc@smartchat.net.au).

It will also help planning if you can let me know:

If you require transport from ELT.

If you can take passengers (and how many)

If you are planning to lunch at the Toolangi Tavern.

Cheers

Roger
