Cross over the river via the small red foot-bridge. Head north along the river. Path will follow the river taking us past the sports grounds of Fairbairn Park. The path will leave the river and head through the Scout halls etc. We will come out at Woods St. This will take us to Maribyrnong Rd. Please use the Pedestrians lights to cross. Continue along the river trail past Boathouse Cafe, Regatta seating, Poyntons Nursery and Essendon Rowing club.
We will reach the Afton St Footbridge. At this point walkers who wish to walk further can join Sandi for a walk through the wetlands before you cross the river.
